All my life I’ve been around the and in the church. Growing up I’ve heard a lot about the goodness of God and I am so thankful to be able to sincerely say I have tasted His goodness for myself…and found that HE is SO GOOD!! Hallelujah!
Fast forward many years. I’ve grown so much from both that time in my life & thoughts like that…NOW I have experienced this “freedom” that ONLY the LORD can make possible.
Then I ran across the “saying” while reading the Bible with my very own eyes 👀.
In the book of John 8:36 Jesus states it plain: “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
The Reflection:
That which I oftentimes thought would take me OUT… that pain that I thought would be my way of life forever… that situation that I could not pull myself away from, that luring, flesh pleasing distraction, that entertaining circumstance I thought was good for me & authentic. Could these words really be applied to my situation??? Oh yeah, and ALL that right there…those other “things” too. Well, after reading those words my perspective began to change. Wow!!
The Application:
But it gets even better. Then the one who walks along side me whether I fail to acknowledge Him or not… ran a final play of divine interference (Pardon my football reference. Can’t help it….I do enjoy a good football🏈 game🙂). That ONE move…made the ultimate TOUCHDOWN & gave me that which I needed, my FREEDOM! The LORD Jesus did what I could NEVER do on my own.
The Affirmation:
So it is with a personal account that I too can affirm that “when the LORD sets you free, you are(I am) free indeed.”
Thank you LORD Jesus for keeping me from further bondage & setting me free. HALLELUJAH!!🙌🏽
The Prayer for you:
I pray that you are encouraged…knowing and believing that the LORD can use anything, yes even that which you see as your undoing…trust that He can and will turn it around and set you FREE so you’ll be free indeed. Keep trusting Him. Don’t doubt and remain faithful. May you be strengthen in your mind, body and spirit, leaning in on the one that walks alongside with you our Savior Jesus Christ.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.
Be Encouraged, Be Blessed & Believe ❤~K
